Hello,
Welcome to my first DaKaJa Jewelry blog. I am so excited to start this new journey with you. How about you? Before I get started I’d like to re-introduced myself. I was born and raised in the Bronx, New York. I love my city; I don’t think I can find myself to live my life anywhere else. New York is the finest place to explore your dreams (in my opinion). I started with DaKaJa Jewelry, in 2005, in my kitchen. (There’s something about a kitchen that most women I know or heard stories, that we always hang out and gossip in the kitchen). I never thought that I will still be creating jewelry in 2020. But why am I surprised! I love art. I love to create random pieces since I was a young girl. I always find myself creating, drawing, coloring and even trying to make clothes at a young age. I’m so glad that I decided to pick back up my hobby, creating.
Where did the name DaKaJa (Day-K-Jah) Jewelry came from? Well, I was blessed to have three beautiful girls so I use each of their names and that’s how the name DaKaJa was created. Day is my oldest. Kay is my middle child (yes! I hear the middle child life is always difficult, and the other siblings have it easy.) And Jay is my youngest, she can take as long as she wants to grow up.
